Nestled in the scenic surroundings of Omberg, Ombergs Turisthotell is an inviting spot for families seeking a blend of history and natural beauty. During our visit late last summer, I appreciated the hotel's vintage atmosphere, harkening back to the early 1900s. While the rooms are on the smaller side and include shared bathrooms, the ambience of the hotel and the welcoming staff more than made up for this. We were particularly thrilled with the family-friendly meals, where our children enjoyed engaging with other guests in the large dining room setting. Instead of a buffet, meals were served at the table, allowing for a more communal experience-perfect for families! The proximity to trekking paths was a hit with us. We spent the day hiking through the stunning Omberg mountain area, where our little ones got plenty of exercise, especially on the gentle slopes leading up to the 261 m summit-a manageable adventure even for the youngest in our group.
